85th Glass Problems Conference

The COREu Project was present in the 85th Glass Problems Conference and Symposium, held in Toledo, Ohio, USA, from September 16th to 19th. This prestigious event brings together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in the glass industry.

Representing three EU projects—LIFE SUGAR, H2GLASS, and COREu—Ernesto Cattaneo from our project partner Stara Glass presented their systematic approach to decarbonization in the glass industry. His presentation emphasized crucial strategies such as energy saving, electrification, and hydrogen integration, which are essential for achieving sustainable glass production.

Ernesto expressed his pride in showcasing these projects to an international audience. "I am very proud to have brought overseas our LIFE SUGAR PROJECT, H2GLASS, and COREu EU Project," he stated. His talk underscored the importance of these initiatives in driving the industry towards a more sustainable future.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Stara Glass S.p.A. for their unwavering commitment to sustainability in glass production. Special thanks also go to Temistocle Giovanni Fabbris for accompanying Ernesto on this important journey.

Stay tuned for more updates on our projects and our ongoing efforts to promote sustainability in the glass industry.
